One of our Junior members, Cory Stewart took part in the UK School’s Chess Challenge Gigafinal under 12s at the weekend in Edinburgh. Cory and another school friend entered through his School.
Both made it through the Megafinal back in March. Cory achieved a respectable score of 3.5 out of 7. There were 51 entrants in the tournament with a number of high graded players and Cory played one opponent with an 1866 grading showing the strength of this tournament. So well done to Cory for winning 3.5 out of 7 games.
Games to be played preferably on Monday, December 5th 2022.
