Coincidentally, the same score by which Perth beat the A Team the previous week! Not entirely unexpected as we were outgraded (here!) on every board, often substantially. A good win for Gordon though, who has been rather more succesful as a B Team 1st Division player than a C Team 2nd Division! The B Team safely in mid-table.

A tough match expected against one of the three teams still in with a chance of promotion. We are one of the others, but despite the result, we now need Castlehill D to do us a favour against Kirkcaldy B in the last remaining match, even after we knocked them out of the running here! I had a quick win against the Castlehill veteran Norman, but Bruce went down shortly after in a see-saw tussle against another old campaigner - actually a description that could apply to all eight players! Bill put us back in front after the Castlehill captain made a tactical slip, leaving Keith to try to get us over the line. Game points could make all the difference in this race, but we consider getting the match points on the board a priority, and Keith kept the draw in a very tight struggle to give us the win.
